About us

One Step is One Step Closer

Learning by Doing Movement was initiated with an objective to transform education system at the grassroots level, focusing on experiential learning. In India, education systems are predominantly “known” based and Learning by doing movement works with an aim to transform this from “Knowing” to “Doing”. We aim to implement our ideas by collaborating with local government structures and later on influencing at the policy level with an objective to achieve standardization.

Learning by doing movement targets the schools, which are based in the rural districts of India. It aims to provide assistance to the children who have been enrolled with the government schools.

Mr. Ritesh Rawal

DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY

Mr. Ritesh Rawal has been working in the field of Education since 2007, with a specific focus to transform education systems with innovative and disruptive solutions that can bring sustainable changes across all the sections of the society. He started his first venture called Dudes and Dolls – The Cosmic School in the year 2012, which became a huge success and currently is in the 6th year of operation, the school is able to drive a lot of transformation at the primary level education with a lot of new techniques used in the pedagogy.

The success of Dudes and Dolls created a spark in Mr. Rawal to replicate this model across the globe specifically to start within Rural India, and as a result, he founded the Learning by Doing Movement in the year 2015. The initial couple of years were spent by him and his volunteer team to understand the challenges at the grass root level and creating a solution in the form of a model. Learning by doing model provides tools and framework to impact the education system by focusing on doing.

Experiential Learning

Learning by doing movement believes doing the things rather than listening. Experiential-based learning is the only method to achieve this goal. Recently, the children mainly focused on what they have studied in their classes and informative videos shown by our team, then they try to make those things by themselves, which we call “Doing”.

Doing Things their Own Way

Learning by doing movement believes to make class interactive rather than sharing one-sided idea, so in the recent days, Learning by doing members interacted with the children and educated them about how things they can do things in their own way.

How Do We Work

Learning by
Doing Model

Transforming
Education from
Knowing to Doing

It aims to transform education system through innovative methods of facilitating learning in a practical way.

Learning by doing movement believes in penetrating the idea of experiential-based learning at the grass root level and lead the movement further to achieve its goal. The activities of learning by doing facilitate the government schools with the help of their team members to figure out the plan which has been organized by the respective governments to led down its policy for the government schools at large scale. Learning by doing movement facilitates the households as well, to make them aware of sending their wards to school regularly rather than dropping them out of the schools. The whole idea of this movement is to let children and teachers know about their hidden talent and extracurricular activities.
